Commonality

A single engine for a family of regional aircraft

Developing 15,400 to 17,800 pounds of thrust, the SaM146 is sized to meet thrust requirements for the 70 to 120-seat regional jet class. It was designed from the ground up for regional operations, and is the only engine on the market to offer full hardware intermix capability.

A significant number of regional jets are nearing end-of-life. Replacing these aging planes with new-generation aircraft powered by SaM146 engines will reduce fuel consumption and emissions, expand operability and deliver concrete benefits for airlines, passengers and the environment.
