Moscow, Russia, June 4, 2014 - Anatoly Karavaev, CEO of UTair-Express and Claude Poulain, Chairman and CEO of PowerJet have signed a support agreement for the SaM146 engines that will power the airline's fleet of Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional jets. UTair-Express will take delivery of six long-range SSJ100s in 2014, according to the tripartite contract signed by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC), UTair Aviation and VEB-Leasing during the MAKS air show in August 2013. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery to UTair-Express this month.
Based on the Customer Support Agreement signed with PowerJet, UTair-Express will enjoy full technical and operational support for its SaM146 engines throughout the service life of its SSJ100 aircraft.
UTair-Express will be assigned a dedicated support team, capable of meeting all its requirements in terms of engine fleet operation, documentation, training and warranties.
